Red Ribbon Week

Each year, Live Oak Elementary celebrates National Red Ribbon Week. At Live Oak, we celebrate Red Ribbon Week by encouraging students to focus on making positive and healthy choices.

Red Ribbon Week will take place October 23-27. 2017. Our theme for this special week is "Your future is key..."

Live Oak's resident Cub Scouts (Pack 997) will hang red ribbons around Live Oak Elementary to remind all of us to make healthy choices.

Celebrate Red Ribbon Week by participating in our daily events:

  • Monday, October 23: Sign pledge at lunch. Butcher paper will be up in the MPR for students to write positive comments.

  • Tuesday, October 24: Wear red to school.

  • Wednesday, October 25: Special Spirit Day: Crazy Hair Day (Wear Crazy Hair to show you C.A.R.E.); Bike Rodeo (see below)

  • Wednesday, October 25 (1:15-2:30 pm): Bike Rodeo after school on blacktop

  • Thursday, October 26: Mix it Up at Lunch Day
