ABOUT THE PTA

The Live Oak Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) serves our elementary school community in San Ramon, CA. We are non-profit 510(c)(3), volunteer-run organization affiliated with the California PTA and the National PTA. Live Oak PTA is a member of San Ramon Valley Council of PTAs, and the Thirty-Second District PTA. We represent our members and advocate on behalf of all children in our school community.

PTA is the nation's oldest, largest and highest profile volunteer organization working on behalf of public schools, children and families. PTA volunteers work in their schools and communities to improve the education, health and welfare of all children and youth. 

Live Oak PTA strives to provide enriching school time programs, after school activities and evening/weekend family events to build our community and enhance our students’ learning experience at Live Oak.

PTA Programs

The Live Oak PTA provides engaging and enriching school time programs, after school activities and evening/weekend family events to build our community and enhance our students’ experience at Live Oak. All of our events are entirely run by volunteers. We welcome Live Oak PTA members to join any of our committees.

Budget

PTA programs are supported by modest membership dues, donations, and dedicated volunteers. All expenditures are discussed and voted on at our Association Meetings. The next budget will be reviewed and voted on at our first meeting in September. 

Meetings

The Live Oak PTA Executive Board meets on the first Wednesday of every month. Executive Board meetings are open to board members and invited guests.

We hold open, public meetings of the Live Oak PTA Association every two months throughout the year in which we present our full budget, discuss and vote on all of our events and activities and receive reports from all of our Executive Board members.  Find below the proposed association meeting dates for the upcoming year.
