Volunteer at Live Oak
Our kids need you! Just an hour or two of your time will make a big difference! You DO NOT need to be a PTA member to volunteer!
Help develop and shape the community of the school our children attend. Volunteers are needed in the classroom, on campus (lunch, recess, library) and in PTA events.
🙋♀️ Interested in helping out but not sure where to begin? Please fill the Volunteer Interest Survey and we'll be sure to reach out to you with the information you need.
ALL ADULT volunteers will need to go through Be A Mentor(BAM) clearance to volunteer.
Current Volunteering opportunities:
It's time for the Hearing and Vision Screening at Live Oak. We are looking for 2 parent volunteers for Nov 7 and Dec 6. The volunteers would help organize students and assist the screeners.
Do you have 30 – 45 minutes you can spare on weekdays? This year too, school lunch is provided at no charge for all students. We are seeing a significant increase in the number of students having school lunch. Despite ongoing efforts to recruit, hire, and maintain sufficient staffing, California is experiencing a labor shortage, and we are asking for help to ensure students have the best dining experience possible. Volunteer work will involve greeting students in the lunch line, ensuring smooth flow of service lines, helping students select packaged food items, and counting students. NO KITCHEN WORK or lifting will be assigned
