Each year,  Live Oak Elementary School recognizes National Red Ribbon Week. At Live Oak, we celebrate Red Ribbon Week by encouraging students to focus on making positive and healthy choices.

Celebrate Red Ribbon Week by participating in our daily events for the 2024 Red Ribbon Week at Live Oak! See below for details.

* The class with the highest percentage of students who Wear RED or Be Monochromatic! or Both! to school on Wednesday, October 30th will win the “Red Ribbon Trophy” competition.

Red Ribbon Week will take place 10/23 to 10/31 . The theme for this special week is "Life is A Movie, Film Drug Free.™"

Live Oak's resident Cub Scouts (Pack 997) will hang red ribbons around Live Oak Elementary to remind all of us to make healthy choices.

How this year’s theme of "Life is A Movie, Film Drug Free.™" was chosen:

The annual Red Ribbon Week Theme Contest, sponsored by the National Family Partnership, attracts millions of submissions across the nation, inviting participants to craft slogans that embody the campaign's mission.

This creative theme was submitted by Cheryl Holsapfel, Digital Art Teacher, and Devansh Aggarwal from Solon Middle School, FL.

"Life is A Movie, Film Drug Free.™" was selected because it inspires individuals to play their part in fostering safe, healthy, and drug-free communities.
