Honorary Service Awards
Nominations for the year 2023-2024 are NOW OPEN.
Do you know someone in the Live Oak community who is consistently going above and beyond? A teacher or other staff member? Room Parent? Para-educator? PTA volunteer? Restaurant or other local organization? Show them how much you appreciate all their hard work by nominating them for an HSA Award!
Honorary Service Awards are a unique way for us to publicly acknowledge both individuals and organizations for outstanding service to children and youth in our community. These special members of our community provide thousands of hours each year to support Live Oak. Please take a few minutes to review the selection criteria (on the FAQ page) and nominate one (or more!) of Live Oak’s many hard-working volunteers, teachers, support staff, community members, and/or parents for an award.
HSA Wall of Fame - Congratulations to all our Live Oak Honorary Service Award Winners. Take a look at our past HSA Super Stars. A contribution is made by the Live Oak PTA in each recipient's name to the Honorary Service Award Program Fund which enables the California State PTA to provide scholarships for students and individuals to further their education, as well as grants for Units, Councils, and Districts.
What are the different types of Honorary Service Awards?
The program offers six distinctive awards:
Very Special Person Award recognizes an individual or organization for their service to PTA.
Honorary Service Award recognizes those individuals or organizations for their outstanding service to the youth in our community, going above and beyond what is asked of them.
Continuing Service Award recognizes those individuals or organizations for their ongoing and long-term service, year after year, to the youth in our community.
Golden Oak Service Award is the most prestigious PTA award in California. This award recognizes an individual or organization that has made significant contributions to the welfare of children and youth in the school or community.
Outstanding Teacher Award recognizes a teacher for outstanding service to children and youth through PTA, school, or community.
Outstanding Administrator Award recognizes an administrator for outstanding service to children and youth through PTA, school, or the community.
