Sister School Program
Sister School Program is a philanthropic program benefits Live Oak students by fostering civic responsibility, enhancing community engagement, promoting volunteerism, and by teaching the joy of helping others. This goal is accomplished by partnering our school with a partner school in a neighboring disadvantaged area of the East Bay.
In the past, Live Oak PTA has gathered school supplies, warm coats, playground recess equipment and snacks to donate to our Sister School Students. We hope to continue to work with the school to determine their needs, collect/procure items (if any) and deliver them to the partner school.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the community for their incredible generosity this holiday season. Thanks to your overwhelming support, we not only met but surpassed our goal of providing 450 toys to Michelle Obama Elementary School, our Sister School! This is a combined effort of both Live Oak and Cal High communities! We want to express our deepest appreciation to the Student Council, PTA, representatives from Cal High, and every member of our community whose dedication and hard work made this achievement possible. Your unwavering commitment has truly made a difference, and we are immensely grateful for your contributions. Many thanks to Perin Sabuwala for chairing this initiative. Here’s wishing everyone a joyous holiday season!
